CAF attends the Launch of new COMESA Regulations in Zambia

Date:

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) attended the launch of the new Regulations of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) in Zambia, underscoring its commitment to strong governance, responsible commercial engagement, and regional economic cooperation.

The launch of the new COMESA Regulations marks an important milestone in advancing regulatory harmonization and trade integration across Eastern and Southern Africa.

CAF’s participation reflects its role as a responsible stakeholder operating within dynamic regional markets, particularly in relation to media rights and commercial partnerships concluded across COMESA Member States.

Cedrick Aghey, CAF Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance, said: “CAF is a willing and proactive participant in regional regulatory dialogue. Our presence at the launch of the new COMESA Regulations reflects our commitment to strengthening governance, enhancing our compliance culture, and building constructive economic ties across the region. We recognize the importance of engaging with Institutions that shape and support the environment where we operate.”

CAF continues to prioritize transparency, risk management, and regulatory alignment as part of its broader governance framework.

Engagement with regional Institutions such as COMESA forms part of CAF’s strategy to support sustainable commercial growth while contributing positively to the development of fair and predictable market environments across the continent.
