Against this backdrop, Nigerian-born international music producer, Solomon Ohabuike, popularly known as Ekeyzondabeat has announced plans to roll out a free music production training programme aimed at empowering young Nigerians with practical skills, creative confidence and industry knowledge.
Known for his textured soundscapes and rhythmic experimentation, Ekeyzondabeat has quietly built a reputation within underground and mainstream circles alike.
He has over the years risen to become one of the top sought after music producers in the United Kingdom.
Though not one to constantly chase the spotlight, those familiar with the studio circuit describe him as a producer’s producer — meticulous, patient and deeply invested in the craft.
His production dexterity, ear for detecting the right melody across various music styles, penchant for creating fluid rhythmic beats and a deep emotional connection to music, have been pivotal to his meteoric rise.
His experience and excellence in music production spans over 20 years with production credits for various recording artistes such as Oluwajuwonlo Iledare aka Jaywon, Marvis Nkpornwi of Big Brother Naija 2017 fame, Joel Amadi aka Joe El, Blessing Tangban, Chijindu Emeruwa, Kendrick Awe, Teri Silo, Amuta Stone and Oluwareezi, among others.
The training is being carried out in collaboration with Zionfit, a UK-based charity organisation that operates within the purview of developing creativity among youths. The hybrid masterclass is scheduled to hold on March 28.
