Congress: Southeast chieftain, Offor congratulates Onyedebelu on emergence as new Imo APC chairman

A governorship hopeful and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress from Imo State, Rt Hon Chinedu Offor, has congratulated Chief Austin Onyedebelu on his emergence as the new imo chairman of the APC.

Offor also congratulated other elected State Officers in the just-concluded congress by the national leadership of the party held in Owerri.

THE PURVEYOR gathered that Onyedebelu emerged through consensus mode of election, as the new Imo chairman of the All Progressives Congress during the well-participated Congress held on 3rd of March, 2026 in Owerri, the state capital.

Speaking on Friday while felicitating with the new party chairman, Rt Hon Chinedu Offor expressed confidence that Austin Onyedebelu led executive committee will provide purposeful leadership and strengthen the party’s structure at all levels.

Offor, a former Speaker of Imo House of Assembly,noted that APC in Imo state has grown in popularity and acceptance due to the impactful classic projects of Governor Hope Uzodinma, which directly benefit the common people.

He commended the state leaders and members of the party for their commitment and collective efforts towards ensuring harmony, stability, and unity with the APC fold.

The ex-Imo lawmaker expressed optimism that with sustained cooperation and grassroots mobilization, APC will emerge victorious in the forthcoming elections.

Hon Offor reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with party leaders and members to consolidate on the gains recorded and to ensure continued progress and development for the people of Imo State.
