A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on Nigerians to unite with the party to rescue the country from the All Progressives Congress (APC) -led federal government.
Eze, in a statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, said the ADC is on a mission to rescue the country from a government that has brought unprecedented and untold hardship to all and sundry.
He stated that it was shameful the President Bola Tinubu is more concerned about how he will perpetuate himself in power regardless of his zero impact in leadership in the country.
“It is sad and unfortunate that Tinubu and his government could take us to this inglorious path after what we all sacrificed to bring APC to power,” the ADC chieftian said.
Eze commended the leadership of the party and every well meaning Nigerian who has lend a voice against the coordinated, undue interference by the Tinubu-led government in the affairs of opposition political parties.
The former national publicity secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), explained that the coordinated, undue interference by the current government was an effort to obliterate the strength of the opposition political parties and establish a one-party system in the country.
He stated that the efforts by the President to have a smooth sail in the 2027 election and return to power unchallenged will be strongly resisted by the determination of Nigerians.
The ADC chieftian also said that Nigerians have shown a deep sense of patriotism by standing up to reject a scheme by Tinubu to foist himself on the country for a second term, even when it is glaringly clear he does not even deserve to complete the current term, relying on his terrible trajectory.
