Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has lauded the sterling leadership strides of former Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly, Rt Honorable Chinedu Offor.
Senator Uzodinma gave the applause in recognition of Honorable Offor’s contributions and unwavering commitment to the progress of the state, as Imo set to mark the 50th anniversary of her creation today Tuesday, 3 February 2026.
Extending an invitation to the former number one lawmaker of Imo state, Honorable Chinedu Offor to the 50th golden jubilee celebration of Imo state, Governor Hope Uzodinma is expected in today’s occasion to inaugurate the Imo Hall of Fame.
It would be recalled that Imo state was officially created on 3rd february 1976 by the Federal Military Government of Nigeria under General Murtala Mohammed.
Meanwhile, the erstwhile Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and frontline chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt Honorable Chinedu Offor, has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodinma on the occasion of the 50th golden jubilee celebration of the state on Tuesday.
Honorable Offor commended Governor Uzodinma on numerous giant developmental strides recorded by his administration across the state.
He added that uzodinma’s giant strides, especially in the areas of economic and infrastructural development, security of lives and properties, job and wealth creations in the state, has placed Imo on the path of economic prosperity.
Honorable Offor also commended other eminent citizens of imo state for their continued support and contributions in deepening democracy in the state and the country as a whole.
As Imo clocked 50 years today, Rt Honorable Chinedu Offor felicitates with the Government and the good people of the state on the occasion of the celebration of the 50th golden jubilee celebration of Imo state.
He urged Imo citizens and residents to continue supporting the state government as it continues to build socio-economic and infrastructural projects to foster development in the State and enhance their welfare.
