The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), in partnership with the University of Cape Town (UCT), successfully concluded the second edition of the CAF Football Management Executive Programme marked by an official graduation ceremony held at the University of Cape Town in South Africa on Friday, 30 January.
CAF’s ground-breaking executive programme has now been delivered for the second consecutive year and continues to form a central pillar of CAF’s long-term strategy to collaborate with leading institutions of higher learning in empowering Member Associations through enhanced governance and effective administration.
A total of 30 participants from across the CAF’s six Zonal Unions graduated from the six-month programme that provided them with intensive learning experiences designed to enhance the skillset required to navigate the increasingly complex demands of modern football governance.
As with previous editions, CAF assembled a distinguished faculty of highly experienced international speakers and industry experts throughout the programme.
Participants benefited from in-depth engagement on key areas including administration, strategic planning, sponsorship and commercial development, communication, and organisational leadership.
CAF Director of Member Associations, Sarah Mukuna said: “The CAF Football Management Executive Programme is CAF’s strategic investment in the future of African football. Strong leadership and sound governance are essential to building credible, competitive and sustainable football institutions. Through this programme, CAF is empowering its Member Associations with the skills, knowledge and values required to meet the highest global standards which CAF has successfully elevated itself to in recent years.”
The CAF Football Management Executive Programme remains an integral part of CAF’s broader capacity-building and institutional strengthening streategic objective, which seeks to establish a well-governed football ecosystem on the continent supported by competent leadership.
